A bleak month to remember

On October 8, 2023, the 4-week retribution voyage ended with a loss against Moletsane Veterans.

At the start of September, we had a strong belief that we could turn things around and finally get our revenge on the teams that had previously defeated us. However, despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure the wins that we needed.

Match – Report

The victories we missed out on would have significantly impacted our position in the league table. We would have been able to move up to second place, and with only a few games remaining, it would have consolidated our position there. Unfortunately, we were unable to capitalize on these opportunities.

The match that would decide our fate in the Gauteng competition for our region was one of the most crucial games we had ever played. Despite our best efforts, we lost 2-1 to Westbury Masters in the qualifications, which meant we missed out on the opportunity to compete.

In an attempt to exact retribution, we participated in four league matches, only to draw three and lose one. This outcome was highly unsatisfactory. Despite our initial ranking in sixth place, we have since regressed to the tenth position in the league standings, which is indicative of our ongoing difficulties.

We take full responsibility for the current situation, but we are confident that we have what it takes to overcome it. In the previous season, we finished in the 15th position with 52 points. However, we have made great strides this season and currently find ourselves in the 10th position with 52 points.

It’s worth noting that we were in the 14th position at this same time last year. We are determined to continue our upward trajectory and achieve even greater success. The statistics we have gathered so far point towards a satisfactory season. Although it falls short of being fantastic, we are in a good position. However, we are not content with just being good.

We believe that there is always room for improvement, and we are determined to identify areas where we can enhance our performance. By doing so, we can make the rest of the season even better and achieve our goals.

We will be taking on the Longtill Dwellers in a friendly match this weekend. Our players have been working hard and we are confident in our abilities to come out victorious & turn things around.

We invite all of our passionate fans to join us and show their support. Your energy and enthusiasm will undoubtedly give us an extra boost. Let’s make this a match to remember!
