Obaba and Tinyiko Masters engaged in an exhilarating match on October 1st, 2023, resulting in a 4-4 tie.
The performance of our defensive team was outstanding today. Njection had an impressive start by scoring the first goal, followed by Thabo who saved the day by scoring two goals, which brought us to a tie of 3-3 after being down 3-1. Varo then scored the fourth goal, putting us in the lead at 4-3.
However, we lost our focus and allowed the opposition to equalize, which was unexpected considering that we had the lead and were supposed to manage the game.
Our team’s goalkeeper must improve after his mistakes during the game. He took responsibility for his performance, but we need to see real improvement moving forward. At halftime, we were down 3-1. Jahman’s assistance was pivotal in the Technical Team’s ability to make tactical adjustments and bring in substitutes Barnes, Varo, and Mbazo in an effort to turn the game around.
During halftime, our team made some strategic changes by bringing in Poposhi and Chicken to assist the attackers in our mission to level the score in front of our enthusiastic supporters. As a result of the team’s hard work, we were able to gain the lead. However, in the end, we let it slip away from our grasp.
Unfortunately, we have been experiencing a bit of a slump lately. Out of our last five games, we have only been able to secure one victory and have tied the remaining four. This has caused us to fall from sixth place to ninth place in the current standings.
It’s disheartening to note that we are conceding the same goals as the ones that we are scoring, which has resulted in a goal difference of zero. It’s a challenge that we need to work on as a team to improve our performance and achieve better outcomes in the future.
This weekend poses a significant challenge, as we prepare to face Westbury Masters in Braamfischer. Our victory is of utmost importance, and we must give it our all on the field. On Sunday, we will have the honor of hosting Moletsane, who is currently leading the log.
This highly anticipated encounter calls for our best performance yet. Additionally, we will finally have the opportunity to play our first-round match, which was postponed due to bereavement.
Let’s come together and show our strength and determination.
