However, the turning point arrived when Fathers earned a close free kick near the 18-yard line. Ngwana seized the moment with a brilliant free-kick, securing Fathers as the first scorers of the day.

Sebokeng Masters retaliated strongly, managing to equalize before the end of the first half. As the scorching South African Spring sun beat down with temperatures soaring to +/- 34 degrees Celsius, both teams engaged in serious discussions to revitalize their strategies for the second half.
