The team pacing themselves as we are still fighting our way back to the Top 8. This week won’t be an easy feat, we are facing second-placed Tshiawelo Masters Football Club at Vuwani Stars Ground, Tshiawelo Ext. 2, 11:00.
Our last encounter with them ended in a deadlock at 0-0 and had to be settled on penalties, after which Tshiawelo Masters won 6-5. But this time around the match promises fireworks if the recent Fathers’ stats are anything to go by, having scored 11 goals and only conceded 3. Having recently won our last match against KA77 All Stars by 3 goals to 1. Now, Tshiawelo’s recent form is not anything to write home about, in the last possible 15 points they only collected 7 points compared to the 7 points we gathered, but in football there adverb “therefore” has no room. With all these recent glowing stats, complacency and arrogance is never the name of the game.
We are expecting to see unfamiliar faces in the lineup as has been the case in past matches. Coach MaDumane and his Technical Team, have spoiled us by playing different individuals at different positions. So even tomorrow we would like to believe that, that would be the order of the day as it has been working wonders. We see no reason to change a winning formula but it lies with them on how they tune their team on the day, we can only hope for good results.
This week the team’s opponents for the Msawawa games were finally revealed at the draw We will be playing NDT Legends. Our last encounter with them didn’t go away as we lost 4-1, it was coach MaDumane’s first match in charge, surely he’d like to make amends. It goes without saying that the preparations have started already.
